241213 How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Class... class... quiet!

Hello everyone. It has been a while and I'm now restarring my newsletter. I appreciate all who stick around. Thank you.

This summer I did a lot of local traveling after my summer move in warly July. I now live within 30 minutes of the coast and it is hard tp resist taking the short drive to watch the waves. I exlored the mountains , streams, estuaries and have plenty of photos and video to share as well as new art.

A view of the Central Oregon Coastline. Look for canvas prints soon in the shop.

Some of the new art I've been working on is wood based. Whittling, sanding, painting, dyeing wood specifically. I foragedthem from the mountains and forests. I have begun to make small pieces around 6 to 7 inches, calling them totems.

I have some exciting things coming up in the next year artistically and I'm excited that you have joined the journey with me.

As I bid farewell in this holiday season, I leave you with this Christmas Poem I wrote this week. I appreciate you all.

X. CHRISTMAS 2024: A POEM

This year I pissed on the Christmas tree.

I knew it was wrong what do you want from me.

At this point it's a family tradition.

Or maybe it's just my secret mission.

The hot bulbs smell of dirty urine.

And I think I smell ball hair burnin'.
